We donate $25 for each Accredited Mental Health First Aider we train to organisations dedicated to social good, like LifeLine and Beyond Blue. We can train 24 participants in each course we deliver, so donations can reach $600 per course. It's vital to support individual efforts at a local level and support the wider system of care. A Mental Health First Aider is someone who has completed a Mental Health First Aid Course and has become Accredited with Mental Health First Aid Australia. You can complete an online assessment within 30 days after the course to become accredited. Mental Health First Aid Australia will provide an ecertificate on successful completion. National Certification by Mental Health First Aid Australia is valid for three years.

Any adult, over 18, can attend. This course is not a therapy or support group. This course is endorsed for Continuing Professional Development (CPD) Points for a number of professions, including nurses, pharmacists, fitness instructors, social workers, physiotherapists and others.

National Certification by Mental Health First Aid Australia is valid for three years, after which individuals must complete a 4 hour face-to-face refresher course to maintain certification for another 3 years.

As part of building a mentally healthy workplace, many industries and organisations are making Mental Health First Aid Officers (MHFAOs) a workplace requirement. Currently, the South Australian Public Service Enterprise Agreement, for example, requires workplaces to train the same number of staff in MHFA as there are Health and Safety Representatives (HSR) and First Aid Officers at the workplace.

Yes. The opportunity for social interaction + personal development = helps to protect health. We design programs to be delivered in person and in private groups to maximise the benefits of social connectedness.
Learning and practising skills together in person, can also support participants to better recognise non-verbal cues and body language, which can greatly influence how a message is received and interpreted.

We’ve run bars, cafes, festivals, street parties and concerts. We’re also Licensed Mental Health First Aid Instructors, senior leaders with MBAs and extensive experience in coaching and facilitation. We garden, cook, build things, make stuff, split wood and train dogs.
